Supreme Court rejected the prayer of Central Bureau of Investigation that it cannot take up DMAT case investigation as no public servant was involved. The matter came before a three judge bench headed by Honourable Chief Justice. It is reported that shortage of manpower has been pointed out by CBI as one of the reasons for not taking up investigation.
CBI is now probing the infamous Vyapam case. In the affidavit filed in Court, CBI stated that DMAT(Madhya Pradesh Dental and Medical Admssion Test) scam seems to be more serious and larger than the Vyapam case and at present they are unequipped to take this big case.
However, honourable Supreme Court of India has given time to State to for submitting a time frame for taking up the investigation by CBI.
Madhya Pradesh Dental and Medical Admission Test is for private dental and medical college admission in the State of Madhya Pradesh by which every year many students are being admitted in various private dental and medical colleges in management quota.
