US Insurance "Obamacare" is slowly taking effect as reports say that uninsured rates have shown a decline lately. Latest report by U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Web:www dot cdc dot gov) has shown that the number dropped from 36 million to 29 million in the first quarter of this year.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is colloquially called Obamacare which came into effect in the year 2010 which ensures quality and affordable health care for all Americans including several health insurance coverages. It proposes amongst other things various health insurance market reforms which includes lowering uninsured rate by expanding the coverage of insurance and reducing the healthcare cost by way of subsidies, insurance exchanges etc.
The Act had also came under scanner of United States Supreme Court which upheld its constitutional validity in 6-3 majority.
Eventhough the Act is supposed to help poor and middle-class Americans, there are mixed reviews regarding the law among public over its far-reaching effects, particularly on taxation which is going to increase.
