As the Delaware election law requires third party groups to disclose the donors of political advertisements and as the law is given constitutional validity by District Court of Appeals in Philadelphia US, the matter may soon be pleaded before the US Supreme Court by concerned parties.
Earlier only groups which directly advocated for or against a candidate in election were required to disclose donors of advertisements. Against this rule, Delaware Strong Families which publishes voter guides of candidates raised a lawsuit alleging that this will curtail the freedom of speech. The constitutional sanctity came from the order of US District Court of Appeals in Philadelphia which reversed a federal court order against the law.
